Notepad++ is a text editor and source code editor for Windows. It aims to be a lightweight and robust editor for a variety of programming and scripting languages. One advantage of Notepad++ over the built-in Windows text editor Notepad, is that Notepad++ supports tabbed editing, which allows working with multiple open files. Notepad++ opens big files significantly faster and can be used as Windows Notepad replacement.^[2]

Notepad++ is distributed as free software. The project was hosted on SourceForge.net, from where it has been downloaded over 27 million times^[3][4] and twice won the SourceForge Community Choice Award for Best Developer Tool.^[5] The project is hosted on TuxFamily since June 2010. To display and edit text and programming language source code files, Notepad++ uses the Scintilla editor component.

1) Browse URL http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.3.3.html


2) Click Notepadd++ Installer, http://download.tuxfamily.org/notepadplus/6.3.3/npp.6.3.3.Installer.exe , and download.


3) Run the installer.exe

4) Choose Language.


5) Setup start.
Click Next.


6) Agree to License Terms


7) Installation Path option. Accept default.


8) Choose components.


9) Choose Components (continued)


10) Installation done.
