1) Browse http://www.efglobe.com/cgi-bin/mainframe/mainuser.
1a) Fill-in the required details.Ensure that your userid length doesn't exceed 7 characters.
1b) Click Submit when you are done.
2) Confirm your entry.
2a) Click Continue.
3) Received confirmation message. Proceed to check email.
4) Received email. Take note the Verification Code. Click Verification Link.
5. Proceed to Verification Page. Enter Verification Code. Click Submit.
6. Received Access Information details.
7. From this step onwards, you need a Client Program to work with the Mainframe. The following steps use the the Client Program x3270 downloadable at http://x3270.bgp.nu/index.html.
8. Download and install the Client Program. Select the option to create a Desktop Shortcut.
9. Run the Session Wizard (Click the Desktop Shortcut)
9a) Type y to continue.
10) Create Session Name.
10a) Type a suitable name.
11) Type the hostname.
11a) Refer your host name details (e.g. Step 6)
12) Select options to be changed.
12a) Ensure that the Host name and TCP Port follows (Step 6)
12b) Since no more changes to be made, press [Enter] to procees.
13) Confirm creation of session file.
13a) Type y and press [enter].
14) Confirm creation of Desktop Shortcut.
14a) Type y and press [enter].
15) Received Wizard Complete message.
15a) Press [Enter] to continue.
16) Check that the Desktop Shortcut for your connection exists.
16a) Double-click the Shortcut.
17) Received Welcome Message from the Mainframe that you are trying to connect.
18) Type TSO and Press [Enter]
19) Enter your userid and press [Enter].
20) Enter your password. If this the first time you log into the system, you would be required to enter a new password.
21) You are now logged to the system.
